About the Role

As a New Store Opening (NSO) Trainer, you will be instrumental in ensuring the success of our team members through comprehensive training programs tailored for new high-density restaurant openings. Your role will involve executing training materials, conducting hands-on sessions, and evaluating team members' progress to ensure they meet our performance standards and uphold our culinary excellence.

Role Details

  • Pay Rate: $0.50 increase on your current pay rate
  • Job location: Multi-Location Role, Travel Required
  • Position Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities

  • Execution: Leveraging existing tools and systems drive a training team to successfully develop a competently trained hourly team after the provided amount of time allotted
  • Assessment: Evaluate trainees' progress and performance through observation, skills assessments, and knowledge checks
  • Training Sessions: Conduct engaging and informative training sessions at new store opening locations
  • Knowledge Transfer: Effectively transfer knowledge and skills to employees, ensuring they are equipped to deliver exceptional service
  • Feedback and Coaching: Provide constructive feedback and coaching to support team members in improving their performance and achieving their full potential
  • Program Evaluation: Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and suggest improvements as necessary
  • Collaboration: Work closely with management, NSO Lead, and department heads to identify training needs and priorities
  • Positive Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive training environment where team members feel supported, engaged, and motivated to learn
  • Leadership: Lead and inspire NSO trainees through effective training, coaching, and mentorship, while embodying and promoting a culture of excellence

Qualifications

  • Experience: Must be in the existing Trainer Role 
  • Continuous Learning: Demonstrated willingness to grow and learn, aligning with Wonder's commitment to development
  • Values Alignment: Ability to represent Wonder's values in all interactions and actions
  • Expertise: Mastery all HDR positions strongly preferred 
  • Endorsement: Signed off by both the multi-unit manager and General Manager (GM) of the site, indicating readiness for the role
  • Documentation: Possession of a valid ID and any necessary certifications for food handling (as per regional requirements)
  • Food Safety: Uphold strict adherence to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Availability: Flexibility for long-distance travel, overnight stays, and open availability including holidays, weekends, and extended hours

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years old and legally authorized to work in the US
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for a full shift while working
  • Must have open availability, including night and weekend availability
  • Must have the means of transportation and ability to travel from site to site for new store openings (NSOs)
  • Must have the flexibility to travel to NSOs during the week and weekends and possible overnight stays, as needed
